Agriculture




District Lodhran is the most important part of punjab for Agriculture.
Cottan corp and wheat crop are the major crops of lodhran.
And Agriculture Depatrmant is also playing his role for improvements in crops and inerducing the new technology for Agriculture and also they are orgnizing the seminars on union level for farmers to provide them latest information for groth and implementation for agriculture structure.
There are Seven departments in district Lodhran of agriculture,
1. Executive District Officer Agriculture
2. District Officer Agriculture
3. District Officer Livestock
4. District Officer Forest
5. District Officer Water management
6. District Officer Soil and fertility
7. Assistant District Officer Fisheries

Hospital


There are one District Headquarter Hospital and three Tehsil Headquarter in District Lodhran.
Thay are providing all facilities to the people of lodhran for good health.

Tehsiles

In Lodhran there is three Tehsiles, Lodhran, Dunya Pur, Kehroe pacca.
In 1924, the areas of Kehror Pacca and Dunyapur was separated from tehsil Mailsi and included in tehsil Lodhran. To educate the young Generation and to spread the knowledge, there are uncountable institutions, schools and colleges working in Lodhran. Many Government, Semi-Government and Non-Government girls and boys primary and high schools, Inter Commercial Institute, Vocational Institute and colleges are working to educate the people. Many hospitals are also here private and government.

History

Raja Lodhra was the son of Sikh Raja Raam Dyo Minhas and his family was called the decendants of Sooraj Hansi Rajput. Lodhra family was lived in prior state Bahawalpur which later in the starting of 1743 populated in the valley of Sutluj and Bias rivers. That’s why this Town was known as Lodhar Wah.
In August, 1873, Sadar Police Station and in 1885, the Railway Station was founded. On 1st April, 1909, the British Government spread a railway line from Lodhran to Karachi.
